EL PASO - PUBLIC BATHS

The El Paso Public Baths was a project of my 3rd year of my Bachelors in Science of Architecture. The program included a swimming pool, a gym area, a yoga studio, room for collaborative dance classes, and public offices.

The site was located near an underground train passage-way that had been abandoned. My concept strived to connect the public baths to an existing Parking lot area and to the lower pool area with a winding ramp that stretched the full site. The challenges that came with the ramp are the extensive lengths required to meet ada and the landings that were incorporated into seating areas along the ramp.

This design seeked to create a shelter from the sometimes chaotic city life. The winding ramp transports the guests from the high traffic areas to a slower pool and spa basement.
