TRANSPORTATION COLLEGE

This design seeks to integrate a vocational school with the blue collar culture of the Ballard neighborhood.  The site next to a main access for cyclist sparked the idea of creating a piece of Architecture that acted as Infrastructure.  By connecting to the 15th Ave bridge through a ramp the Transportation College facilitated the access for cyclist headed to downtown Seattle.  The Program divides the classes and public areas with the public ramp and imposes itself as a hub for cyclists.

The Screen is derived from a vectorized sound wave from the sounds of the Ballard Locks, which was then panelized into smaller segments.
